Morocco
Morocco is an education in sight, sound, taste and smell and Dave Waterman is an intriguing guide. We joined him, in April-May 2008, on a journey from Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert.
We travelled with a small group of fellow-photographers, by 4x4, often on narrow un-surfaced roads, through ever-changing landscapes. Together, we experienced the noises and smells of the souqs and the lonely silence of a desert night, we ate simple meals in roadside cafes - bread, brochettes and Berber Salad, or Berber Omelette – and hearty tagines in the Riads, and everywhere we looked there were pictures to be taken.
